According to Rob Phillips of dallascowboys.com, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones and ROLB DeMarcus Ware’s agent Pat Dye Jr. have had good visits and will get Ware’s contract situation resolved. Cornerbacks Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick have been getting reps with the first team in OTA’s. With Terence Newman being the number one cornerback, Dallas needs to find someone to play alongside him on the other side of the field. The Cowboys traded Anthony Henry for John Kitna and released Adam “Pacman” Jones in the off-season. Henry was last year’s starter opposite Newman. Dallas has a lot of options in their secondary having drafted Mike Mickens and DeAngelo Smith from the University of Cincinnati in the 2009 NFL Draft. According to Phillips, head coach Wade Phillips believes that Newman, Jenkins, and Scandrick play well in man to man coverage.
